Selection Tools Practice and Assignment
Learning Target: Learn and practice important tools to select parts of photos for editing in Photoshop
Why: To have the skills to create new and interesting projects

Selection Tools:
Tutorials: Select Part of an Image | Mask Out Image | Remove Person From Image
Assignment:
- rectangle,
- elliptical,
- lasso,
- polygonal,
- magnetic, and
- quick selection

Assignment:
- Create a new document - landscape orientation and the standard photoshop size (11 inches by 8.5 inches).
- Save new document as "Selection Tools" in your Photoshop Folder.
- For each tool (rectangular, polygonal lasso, elliptical marquee, magnetic lasso, lasso, quick select), you need two examples.
- Cut them out of a picture and place them on your new assignment document.
- Your background for the document MUST NOT be solid (see example).
- Label the two selections with what tool you used (see example)
- Using a clear and easy to read font (and color) include your name in the top left
- Using a clear and easy to read font (and color) include a title in the top center
- Use consistency - fonts, colors, sizes, and shapes
Well watch tutorials today and then have a little time left to start the project.
